June 29, Friday                                      Feast of St. Peter and St. Paul  (also known as L-Imnarja)
August 15, Wednesday                        Feast of the Assumption  (also known as Santa Maria, and in Italy, Ferragosto)
September 8, Saturday                        Victory Day  (national feast marked for the victory of the Great Seige)
September 21, Friday                           Independence Day
December 8, Saturday                          Feast of the Immaculate Conception
December 13, Thursday                       Republic Day
December 25, Tuesday                         Christmas Day

Note that public holidays falling on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays are not compensated for by additional holidays during the rest of the year.
