Good luck! Hopefully you will sort the matter out as soon as possible, as court would take quite a while to decide the case.

Kind regards

Dear Dr. G. Spiteri,

Thank you for your reply.

Things changed a bit, since last, because he has now agreed to let go of the shop by the 15th of November.

We are supposed to decide what items belong to me and which ones I want to keep/buy for the shop.

Since things are quiet now I think I best wait to see if he is going to give me back the keys on the 15th.

I really appreciate your help in this matter and will contact you again if needed because you've been helpful, showing best steps to take.

Thanks & regards,

S. Bugeja.

Good morning

First of all, I am a female lawyer, just to clarify.

Meanwhile, I think you need to have a proper consulation as it is better if you file a court case or a judicial letter asking for the keys back as well as the backward rent. You may call me on 9948 6293.

kind regards
Geraldine

I think your query requires proper legal advice. You cannot add padlocks to anyone's property.

Can I add a padlock to his existing padlock, without getting in the shop, so he will not be able to keep using it?

Thanks

Dear Sir,
I am not sure if you involve yourselves in these local cases.
I have a shop rented out and this person has not paid rent since 1 Jan. 2009.
A month ago we went to a notary to renew the rent contract, and he agreed that by end September he will decide if he is going to keep the shop or not.
Last week I talked to him and he told me that he is going to give me back my shop and that by end of the week, we'll talk and decide what's mine and what's not from the things inside the shop.
I've been calling him to meet him and he seems to be ignoring my calls and messages.
Cand you please tell me which is the best way to deal with such matters and get him to give me the keys back and the rent he owes me.

I appreciate your help.

Thanks & regards,

S. Bugeja.

I live in a block of 6, the stairs which is a common part for all of us need to be painted, all paint is going down and dirty. 5 of the owners agreed but one owner as always said that he is not in a position. (This is the third time he didn't agreed) although he made the most damage to the wall when one of his water pipe was leaking, after repairing it he didn't even paint the damage he made.

By the law, can he continue to desagree, because he uses the stairs every day and it's not fair with us, the other 5, we pay for him every time
